I am a 35yo married and father of twins. I will update the photos once in a while. They were born 3 months early in March of 2008 and went through a tough first 4 months. They are now doing well.

I had 200k before the drop in 2008. I need to set aside around 200k in next 2.5 years to get early retirement.

[ ] 3 months expenses in EF
[ ] 9 months expenses in taxable account
[ ] open college savings account for kids
[ ] dividend income equals half of annual expenses
[ ] pay off 2nd mortgage by 2013
[ ] pay off 1st mortgage by 2026
[ ] finance next car for 3 years or less
[ ] pay cash for my next car around 2016
[ ] start a TIPs 10 year bond ladder by 2016.

Coming Home I

DS1 weights 4.06 lbs and is going through the car seat challenge tonight. He will be strapped into his carseat for a couple of hours in the ICU and they need to see if he has any cardiac episodes as a result of the car seat.

DW and I will be staying at hospital all night on Thursday in a transition room with DS1. If he handles schedule and feedings well, DS1 gets to see his HOME!

I know that you and your wife must be excited and I'm sure a little apprehensive. I know you can't wait until you can hold them as long as you want to. They are so beautiful. Good luck.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about my own small challenges with bringing a baby home. I think I had to drive below the speed limit while my ex held the baby. Or something like that. I don't remember clearly.

And that wasn't bringing home a premie, much less two of them!

Praying that all goes well!! I'm sure you both will be so happy to get life back to something like normality! As normal as things can be with two babies!!

exciting! the car seat test was one i truly looked forward to, they looks soo tiny in those big ol' carseats. Nic passed with flying colors, I am sure DS1 will too! GL!
